How to Cancel Hulu (2026) — Web, App and Bundles
Hulu is cancelled from the account page in a browser, and you keep watching until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Two things complicate it: add-ons such as Live TV or premium channels are cancelled with the base plan, and if Hulu came through the Disney+ bundle it cannot be cancelled from Hulu at all.
Hulu lets you PAUSE for up to 12 weeks instead of cancelling. If you are leaving because you have run out of things to watch, pausing keeps your profiles and costs nothing.
Cancel Hulu step by step
- Open secure.hulu.com/account and sign in.
- Under Your Subscription, select Cancel.
- Decline the pause offer if you want to leave outright.
- Confirm, and check for the cancellation email.
- If you subscribed in the Hulu iPhone app, Apple bills you.
- Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Tap Hulu, then Cancel Subscription.
- If billed through Google Play, cancel there.
- Play Store, profile icon, Payments and subscriptions.

Common questions
Can I pause Hulu instead of cancelling?
Yes, for up to 12 weeks. Billing stops, your profiles and watch history are kept, and it restarts automatically. One exception: Disney Bundle subscribers cannot pause, only cancel.
What happens to my add-ons?
Live TV, premium channels and any other add-ons end together with the base subscription. You cannot keep an add-on without the main plan.
I got Hulu through the Disney+ bundle. How do I cancel?
Not from Hulu. Bundled subscriptions are managed wherever the bundle is billed — usually Disney+ — and cancelling the bundle ends all of its services.
Do I get a refund?
Hulu does not refund partial months. Access continues to the end of the billing period.
Will I lose my watchlist and profiles?
They are kept for a period after cancellation, so resubscribing soon restores them. Leave it long enough and the account data is cleared.
What happens to my Live TV recordings?
Cloud DVR recordings are tied to the Live TV add-on and become inaccessible when it ends. There is no way to export them.
When does access actually stop?
At the end of the current billing period, not immediately. The account page shows the date.
Why is there no cancel button in the app?
Hulu keeps subscription management on the web for direct subscribers. If you subscribed through Apple or Google, their systems handle it instead.
Does cancelling delete my Hulu account?
No. The login stays; only the subscription ends. Deleting the account is a separate request.
Can I resubscribe at the same price later?
At the price current on that day. Hulu has raised prices repeatedly, so returning users generally pay more than they were paying.
