How to Cancel Disney+ (2026) — Web, App and Bundles
Disney+ cancels from the account page in a browser, and access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
The complication is bundles. If Disney+ arrived as part of a package — with Hulu, ESPN, or through a mobile or broadband provider — it cannot be cancelled from the Disney+ account page at all.
If Disney+ came bundled — with a phone plan, broadband or Hulu — Disney cannot cancel it. Only whoever bills you can.
Cancel Disney+ step by step
- Open disneyplus.com/account in a browser and sign in.
- Under Subscription, select your plan.
- Choose Cancel Subscription and confirm. The page should show the date access ends.
- If you subscribed inside the app, Apple bills you.
- Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Tap Disney+, then Cancel Subscription.
- If billed by Google Play, cancel there.
- Play Store, profile icon, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, Disney+, Cancel.
Common questions
I cannot find the cancel option — why?
You are almost certainly on a bundle or billed by a third party. The Subscription section of your account page names whoever bills you; cancel with them. Disney cannot cancel a subscription it does not bill.
Do I get a refund?
Normally no — Disney+ does not refund partial months or unused annual time, and you keep access until the paid period ends. But if you are in the EU and signed up within the last 14 days, the law changed in your favour in July 2026: the EU Court of Justice ruled that streaming subscriptions are digital services, so the clause saying you waived your cooling-off right by pressing play no longer holds. You can withdraw inside 14 days even after watching. You pay for the share you actually used and the rest comes back. This is recent enough that support staff may not know it — cite the 14-day right of withdrawal.
What happens to my watchlist and profiles?
They stay with the account. Resubscribing later restores your profiles, watchlist and continue-watching rather than starting over.
When does access stop?
At the end of the current billing period. The account page shows the exact date once the cancellation is confirmed.
I have the Disney+, Hulu and ESPN bundle. What happens?
Cancelling the bundle ends all of its services together. To keep one, you switch plans rather than cancel — the bundle cannot be partially cancelled.
Can I cancel an annual plan early?
You can cancel it so it does not renew, but you keep access for the rest of the year you paid for and there is normally no refund for the unused months.
Will my downloads still work?
No. Downloads stop playing when the subscription ends, on every device.
Does cancelling delete my Disney account?
No. The account remains, along with any purchases made through it. Only the streaming subscription stops.
Why am I still being billed after cancelling?
Typically a second subscription through Apple or Google, or a provider bundle that was never touched. Check Settings on your phone and your provider's account page.
Can I resubscribe later at the same price?
You can resubscribe any time, at the price current on that day. Disney+ has raised prices repeatedly, so the old rate is not guaranteed.
The subscriptions that hurt are the ones you cannot see.
If it turned out your Disney+ was billed by a phone company or folded into a bundle, you have met the hardest kind to control — it never shows up as its own line, so it cannot be missed on a statement because it was never really on one.
Subzy tracks what you pay regardless of who bills it, because you tell it rather than a bank feed guessing. Bundled, prepaid, billed annually by a company you had forgotten: it still lands in the total, and you still get warned before it renews.
