How to Cancel Google One (2026) — Without Losing Files
Google One is cancelled from its storage page, and you drop back to the free 15GB tier at the end of the paid period.
The consequence is bigger than most storage plans because that 15GB is shared across Drive, Gmail and Photos together. Over quota, you cannot upload, back up, or receive email — so check your usage before cancelling.
Going back to free means 15GB shared across Drive, Gmail AND Photos. If you are over that, Google stops accepting new files and email after a grace period — and can delete content after two years over quota.
