How to Cancel LinkedIn Premium (2026) — Before It Renews

LinkedIn Premium is cancelled from the Premium management page, and features run to the end of the period you have already paid for.

It is one of the more expensive consumer subscriptions in common use, so the annual plans in particular are worth cancelling promptly rather than at leisure.

Two things to do before the end date: send any unused InMail credits, because they do not survive on a free account, and check the 7-day window — LinkedIn only refunds if you cancel within 7 days of the charge and have not used Premium.

Common questions

What happens to my unused InMail credits?

They are lost when Premium ends. Credits accumulate while subscribed but do not survive on a free account, so use them first.

Do I lose Who Viewed Your Profile?

You keep a limited free version showing only recent viewers, rather than the full list and analytics Premium provides.

Do I get a refund?

Normally not. LinkedIn’s standard policy gives no money back for unused time — you keep Premium to the end of the billing cycle instead. The exception is a refund within 7 days of the charge if you have not used Premium features. Residents of Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany have additional prorated rights under local law.

Will my profile change?

The Premium badge disappears and Premium-only sections stop displaying, but the profile itself and all its content stay exactly as they are.

What happens to LinkedIn Learning courses?

Access ends with the subscription. Completed course certificates already added to your profile remain.

When does Premium actually end?

At the end of the current billing period, shown on the manage page after cancelling.

Does this affect Sales Navigator or Recruiter?

Those are separate subscriptions with their own cancellation, often on contracts. Cancelling Premium does not touch them.

Will I lose my saved searches and leads?

Premium-specific saved items become unavailable, though your connections and messages are unaffected.

Can I switch to a cheaper Premium tier instead?

Yes. Moving from Business or Sales tiers down to Career is offered during the flow and is considerably cheaper.

Can I use a free trial again later?

LinkedIn normally allows one free trial per account, so a second one is not usually offered.

Forty euros a month is worth a calendar reminder. Most people do not set one.

Premium is often taken out for a job search that finishes long before the subscription does, and at this price the gap between finishing and noticing is expensive — two forgotten months costs more than a year of most other services.

Subzy warns before the renewal instead of after it. That is the whole product, and on the expensive subscriptions it pays for itself the first time it works.
