How to Cancel Canva Pro (2026) — And Keep Your Designs
Canva Pro is cancelled from the billing settings, and Pro features run to the end of the period you have paid for.
Your designs are not deleted, but any Pro asset inside them reverts to a watermarked state. Exporting finished work first is the step that saves the most annoyance later.
Designs stay in your account, but Pro stock photos and elements inside them become watermarked. Download final versions of anything you still need BEFORE the subscription ends.
Cancel Canva Pro step by step
- Open canva.com/settings/billing and sign in.
- Find your plan and select Cancel subscription.
- Work past the discount offers and confirm.
- Export any designs containing Pro elements before the end date.
- If you subscribed in the app, Apple bills you.

Do I lose my designs?
No. Every design stays in your account and remains editable on the free plan.
What happens to Pro photos and elements in my designs?
They become watermarked. Anything already downloaded stays clean, which is why exporting before the end date matters.
Do I get a refund?
Only if you move quickly. Canva reviews refund requests individually rather than refunding automatically, the practical window is 14 days from the charge, and nothing is refunded after 30 days. An annual plan cancelled within 14 days of signing up is the clearest case. If a renewal has caught you out, contact support the day you notice — waiting is what closes the door.
What happens to my Brand Kit?
Brand kits are a Pro feature and become unavailable, though the assets you uploaded stay in your account folders.
What about extra storage?
Storage drops to the free tier's limit. If you are over it you cannot upload more until you free space.
Does cancelling affect my team?
If you own a team subscription, everyone on it loses Pro features. Members can be moved to their own plans instead.
When does Pro actually end?
At the end of the current billing period, not immediately.
Can I keep using Canva at all?
Yes, the free plan is fully functional with a smaller library and no Pro-only tools such as Background Remover or Magic Resize.
What happens to scheduled social posts?
Content Planner is a Pro feature, so scheduled posts stop being published when it ends.

Yes. Pro elements un-watermark and Pro tools return immediately on resubscription.
